Nothing super cool, though I did open the 3rd Sweltering Suns I need, and a promo Torment of Hailfire out of my prize box
I got….well….
Grind//Dust was the only thing I was excited to run but I ended up running Jeskai flyers splashing green for the Hour with 2 forest deserts, 1 forest, and a traveler’s amulet. Went 2-1, surprisingly enough. But still very mad about my useless-in-limited rares.
You and I have a very different definition of useless in limited. God-Pharoah’s Gift and Throne of the God-Pharoah are just awesome win conditions in sealed, fixing is always great, and Oketra’s Last Mercy can help stabilize quite well when racing. Though of course, the pool has to have enough creatures for gift and throne to work. I particularly like how 4/4′s from Eternalize and Gift just beat most everything in this environment.

Thanks! Hope you did well too. And you make good points. I think i significantly underrated God-Pharoah’s Gift. After seeing what you said RE: how eternalize creatures perform and reading LSV’s limited set review today where he thought it’s basically a Sandwurm Convergence for 1 less mana and with potentially more upside depending on your creatures. Maybe I should have run it? Who knows.

I do hate lifegain, but I’m like 90% certain there were no games where spending 1-2 turns popping me back up to 20 would have swung things in my favor. Being in a shaky Jeskai deck had me constantly wondering if I should side it in and I never felt like I needed to. Maybe it was just what I was playing/playing against, but the final board states in all my games were very one-sided.
